Plastic Packaging Made for Food-Contact Applications

Our stock bags, custom bags, sheeting, and tubing films are manufactured using materials that comply with applicable FDA food-contact requirements, including 21 CFR 177.1520 and 21 CFR 184.1409.

In simple terms, this means the materials used in these products are recognized under FDA regulations for use in food-contact packaging applications, subject to good manufacturing practices and any limits or conditions listed in the applicable regulations.

These products may be used in contact with all food types under Conditions of Use B through H.

Products Not Covered

Some products are not made with FDA-compliant materials for food contact. VCI, or Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor, products are not produced with FDA-compliant materials. 

If ordering a stock product, please verify the FDA Approved icon listed under the product's Product Properties section. If ordering a custom printed bag, please let us know if FDA compliance is required. While nearly all of our custom printed bags are FDA compliant, confirming this requirement allows us to ensure FDA-compliant inks are used during printing. For non-printed custom bags, we manufacture them to be FDA compliant by default. If FDA compliance is not required for your application, please let us know when placing your order.
